Privacy Policy

Jachega lets you see how clothes from online stores may look on you before you buy. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect and why

We do not collect your name, phone, email, address or payment details. We do not create accounts. We do not sell personal data. We do not use your photo to identify you, and we never use it to train AI models.
3. Consent and withdrawal
We process your photo only after you tick "This is me and I am 18 or older" and agree on the consent screen. You can withdraw consent at any time by tapping "Forget my photo" or closing the tab; this deletes the photo and previews from your browser. Withdrawal does not affect previews already shown.
4. Processors we use
- Replicate, Inc. (USA) runs the try-on model (Pruna). Pruna's terms state that customer inputs are not used for training. Replicate deletes API inputs and outputs automatically after about one hour.
- Background removal provider (listed at https://jachega.in/legal/processors once enabled) to replace your background with a plain studio background.
- Vercel Inc. (USA) hosts the website and stores anonymous ratings and events.
Your data may be processed outside India. We do not transfer data to any country restricted by the Government of India under section 16 of the DPDP Act.
5. Children
Jachega is for people aged 18 and above. Do not use the photo features if you are under 18. If we learn that a child's data was processed, we delete what we can reach.
6. Cookies and storage
We use no advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's sessionStorage/localStorage only to remember your choices and keep your photo for the current visit. Stores you visit through our "Buy" links may set their own cookies (including affiliate cookies); their privacy policies apply.
7. Your rights (DPDP Act)
You may ask us to: tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is processed; correct or erase it; and address a grievance. Because we keep no account or identity, most data lives only on your device and you can erase it yourself. Write to the Grievance Officer above; we acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Security
HTTPS everywhere, no storage of photos on our servers, secrets kept in server environment variables, strict input checks and rate limits.
9. Changes
We will post any change on this page with a new effective date.
