Linen shirts for Indian summers
From March to October the question is not what looks good but what you can stand to wear at 2 pm. Linen answers both: it breathes, it dries fast, and the creases are part of the look rather than a problem.
Colours
White, ecru, sand, sage, sky blue and a dusty pink. Dark linen holds heat and shows sweat less; light linen stays cooler and shows it more. If you commute by two-wheeler, a mid-tone such as olive or slate blue is the practical middle.
Cut
A relaxed fit with a slightly dropped shoulder sits better in linen than a slim fit, which pulls at the chest when the fabric softens. Half sleeves for the day; full sleeves rolled twice for the evening. Camp collars suit a short torso; a regular collar suits a tucked-in look. The [men's shirts page](/men/shirts) shows the cut on a model with your body type, and the search box finds "linen" in a second.
Linen blends
A cotton-linen blend creases less and costs less; pure linen looks better by the third wear. Both are on the [shirts under ₹2,000](/men/shirts/1000-2000) and [₹2,000–4,000](/men/shirts/2000-4000) pages.
For women
Linen shirts worn open over a vest, or tucked into wide pants, are on the [women's shirts page](/women/shirts).
See it on you first
Pick your body type once and every shirt opens on a model like you; add one full-length photo and it opens on you. A shirt is the upper garment only: the preview draws the rest, and that part is not what you are buying. The brand's size chart decides the fit.
Style notes only: what suits whom is a matter of taste, and the fit of any garment is the brand's size chart's business, not ours. Written by Jachega, 2026-10-31.
